Individual Psychotherapy

My goal is to establish a meaningful and trusting alliance with every client through warmth, authenticity, and empathy. I collaborate with every client and tailor our work to best fit each individuals needs and goals for therapy. I use a combination of humanistic and psychodynamic orientations. I also implement CBT and DBT techniques to improve coping skills and reduce unhelpful behaviors.

Child Therapy (age 4+)

With children, traditional talk therapy alone may not be effective. I use a combination of play, art, and developmentally-appropriate discussion to help children learn in a way that feels safe and natural. Children will develop better insight into emotions, express thoughts and feelings safely, and learn how to self-regulate effectively. I also help children learn how to communicate needs and emotions respectfully, while honoring the experience of others. When clinically appropriate, parent-child sessions or parent coaching sessions will be integrated into treatment.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is a time of transition and identity formation. Many teens can benefit from additional support to manage the emotional, behavioral, and physical changes of this life phase. In addition, academic challenges and social pressures can create even more demands. I work to build a trusting rapport with every teen while facilitating healthy self-expression and teaching emotion regulation skills.
