My passion is helping others on the path to healing and my goal is to establish a meaningful, trusting alliance with every client. I work with clients to identify areas of strength, resilience, and capacity for positive change.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, and borderline personality disorder. I also have experience addressing issues related to family conflict and separation, relationship distress, and identity development. I offer LGBTQ+ affirmative, culturally-sensitive therapy and consider each client’s unique experience in my treatment planning. I welcome clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, religious and cultural backgrounds. I work with individual adults, adolescents, and children (ages 4 and up).
My work is rooted in attachment and psychodynamic principles. Exploring early experiences can help us understand how the past may be influencing the present. By increasing insight, I work with clients to release old patterns and make clearer choices in the future. I also use CBT and DBT techniques as needed to improve coping skills and self-efficacy. I help clients develop more meaningful relationships, increase self-respect, and become more mindful and present in daily life. I collaborate with every client and tailor our sessions to best fit each individual’s needs and goals.
